Bahay Biyaya Transformation
Closing another successful year for Dexterton with a special participation in a collaborative event with a group of young talented achievers from UP Diliman.
Last October 2017, the class of UP CHE BS Interior Design Batch 2018 sought out Dexterton as one of the sponsors for their special home makeover project entitled “Tuloy: Removing Barriers Through Interior Design,” dedicated to uplift the lives of the Bahay Biyaya residents.
Bahay Biyaya is a specialized dormitory for physically handicapped high school and college students located at Cubao, Quezon City. It has been established not just to provide home, but to cultivate a sense of responsibility and independence in each of the students.
Sharing their advocacy, Dexterton partnered with the class, providing necessary building materials that not only aim to enhance the look and ambiance of the living areas, but also address to the needs of each resident.
Tiles for the bathroom, kitchen and dining area were provided from Steuler, Rex Ceramiche, Nuove and Floor Gres—all of which curated for a clean, modern look, as well as ease of maintenance.
As one of the areas where comfort and safety are top priority, Dexterton also gave away some grab bars, hand rails and other bathroom accessories from Excel, Bonco, La Belle and Justime to improve accessibility and mobility in the bathroom.

Turning their vision into reality, the construction began on the first week of November, lasting for a month and was proudly launched through their culminating activity, entitled “Tuloy Po Kayo” held last December 9, 2017 at Bahay Biyaya.

Accomplishing this heartwarming project together with the young Filipino Interior Designers has been an honor for the company—being able to provide a new hope and a new chapter in the lives of the Bahay Biyaya residents.
